Faculty Fellowships

Up to eight (8) Faculty Fellowships of $12,000 each are awarded annually to faculty members in the social sciences at any university or four-year college in the five county Southern California region (Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside). The Faculty Fellowship Guidelines are attached and may be downloaded.

To be considered for a 2018-2019 Faculty Fellowship, five copies of a brief proposal, double-spaced in 12-point type face, should be received by the Foundation, via U.S. mail or delivery, by December 12, 2017 at 3 p.m. Additionally, a single PDF of the complete proposal should be submitted by email to info@haynesfoundation.org.  It is also requested that, prior to actually submitting a proposal, applicants submit on-line a Proposal Information Form as discussed above.  The Foundation does not accept faxed proposals.

Haynes Lindley Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships

Up to eight (8) Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships of $20,000 each are available annually to graduate students in the social sciences at institutions in the greater Los Angeles awarding the Ph.D. degree (i.e., the California Institute of Technology, the Claremont Graduate University, the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of California, Irvine, the University of California, Riverside, and the University of Southern California). Haynes Lindley Doctoral Dissertation Guidelines are attached and may be downloaded.

To be considered for a 2018-2019 Haynes Lindley Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship, five copies of a six-page proposal, double-spaced in 12-point type face, as described in the Guidelines, should be received by the Foundation, via U.S. mail or delivery, by  February 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.  Additionally, a single PDF of the complete proposal should be submitted by email to info@haynesfoundation.org It is also requested that, prior to actually submitting a proposal, applicants submit on-line a Proposal Information Form as discussed above.  The Foundation does not accept faxed proposals.
